Boosterthon FunRun!
The Fun Run fundraiser is designed to bring character trait lessons to our students. Throughout the days leading up to the Fun Run students engaged in spirit events and character-building lessons with the Booster Team! All of this was done at lunch to make sure we take no learning time in the classroom but instead add fun and learning at lunch. The only time a booster team member is in the classroom is to support the teacher. The team members will go into the classroom only when requested and typically for about 15 minutes they can help make copies, read to students or be an extra set of hands. The Boosterthon is a for profit organization that does take a % of the profits just like, wrapping paper fundraisers, cookie dough, Krispy Kreme donuts, and coupon books to name a few. All these fundraisers take up to 50% or more of the profits.
During 3 consecutive school years, July 2015-June 2018, and then again in Fall 2022, the Bagnall Community has raised over $100,000. With those funds we were able to purchase the following:
- 1:1 Chromebooks for the building and iPads for K/1st $38,000
- New cafeteria Tables $21,000
- Field Trips $28,000
- Extreme Science Assembly $2,100
- Piano $3,300
- 2023 6th Gr. Trip $2,000
Prior to the Boosterthon Fun Run we ran the typical fundraiser, Genvieve’s, where kids sold wrapping paper and other small gifts. This fundraiser also took 50% of the profit and we raised an average of $5,000 per year. We are proud of what we have been able to provide the Bagnall School with the Boosterthon Fun Run proceeds and unfortunately other fundraisers do not allow us to make the same impact on the school community.
Like years passed the Fun Run proceeds will allow us to fund for field trips, student enrichment programs, teacher resources, and parent and community engagement events which we find to be extremely beneficial and important to the school community and to our children’s education.
Students do not have to fundraise; it is entirely optional. Every student will get a t- shirt and get to be a part of all of the fun either way!

ALTERNATIVE FUNDRAISER
If you choose to forgo participating in our annual fundraiser, please consider a donation to the Bagnall PTA where 100% of your donation goes directly to supporting the students and staff at Bagnall.
Suggested donation
$25 I do not want to hit up friends, family and co-workers
$50 I am unable to volunteer my time or bake, here is $50 to forget my name.
$75 I do not want to walk, swim or run in any activity that has the word “thon” in it
$100 I am making this donation to express my appreciation for having nothing to buy, sell or do except make a donation
